Harper had her newborn wellness check-up a week after her birth. We were concerned she may not be getting enough to eat to keep her satisfied so we are doing some things the doctor suggested and go back in a few days for another weight check. Her stats were: Weight 7.9 lbs (38%)
Length 20 inches (56%)
Head Circumference 13.5 (25%)
Paul's company gives a week off for a birth so he was able to go to the doctor with me. It has been so nice have him home to enjoy this special time and all the first special moments and to get adjusted to our new addition.
We took 4 days to try the doctors suggestions and today mom and I went back to the doctor for another weight check. Harper gained the ounce a day she needed so we are on track. She now weighs 7.12 lbs While at the doctors office her umbilical cord came off. I was glad it happened at the doctors office so he could tend to it. He put some medicine on it to keep it from bleeding.
