Baby Blessing

Our church had a baby blessing on Sunday for all the babies born in 2011. It was so sweet and special. The sermons were great and reminded us that we are in charge of Harpers spirituality. We have to the be the ones to teach her right and wrong and will be judged for it. We were also reminded of what a blessing she is and how the Lord has rewarded us this gift even though we do not serve something so valuable. It is also a wonderful feeling to know that so many people, even those that do no know Harper are praying for her everyday. I believe there is much power in prayer.

Both of her grandparents came to the special service. I am so grateful that they came to share this special day.

My parents spent the weekend with us. Unfortunatley, Harper came down with a nasty stomach bug that kept us inside majority of the time. She was just pitiful. Thankfully, Sunday she was much better and seemed more like herself.

This is a picture of all the babies born in 2011. Let me just say that taking this photo was hilarious and total chaos but I think it turned out adorable. Those in charge did a great job with so many babies (and dealing with mommies screaming their childs name trying to get them to look at the camera)

This is Kathryn. She is one of Harper's teachers at "school" -we adore her!! She attends our church and came to the blessing since most of her babies were part of the blessing.

Harper was given a Bible with her name on it from the church along with a monogrammed blankie and a framed photo of all the babies. They had a nice reception afterwards and was given a sweet letter from the church in which all the elders and staff signed.
